Hallco LIVE FLOORS® have been used in the wood products industry for more than 35 years. The wood products industry's needs are what inspired Hallco to
build the world's first aluminum decking so chip trailers could carry more load with greater fuel efficiency. Since this beginning more than 35 years ago, Hallco has developed new generations of lighter, tougher floors to haul, store, meter and move wood products.
Hallco Live Floors work equally well in trailers and stationary bunkers or bins.

Solutions for trailers
Hallco Live Floors have revolutionized the wood products industry by allowing trailers to load, haul and self-unload chips, bark, pulp and paper - or any bulk product. Trailers with a Live Floor do not require expensive tippers, and can self-unload just about anywhere. Loading is just as easy, even inside buildings close to manufacturing points.
Live Floors are available in a variety deck styles and materials with drive units to match the specific needs of the application. The system is powered hydraulically, operated by pushing a simple lever. Once the trailer is unloaded, it can easily be "swept clean", allowing for backhauls of other materials.
Live Floors install quickly and smoothly into virtually any trailer, new or used. By working in advance with trailer manufacturers and our wide range of standard components, we assure a custom fit. Decking is available in lengths up to 53' for both 96" and 102" trailers. Snap-on slats and single-unit construction add up to fast installation and easy replacement.
Solutions for stationary BUNKERS & bins
Hallco Live Floors are known for being able to store, meter and feed high volumes of bulk materials including bark, chips, sawdust and pulp. Smooth enough to convey fragile products, these systems also have gained a reputation for handling tough, three-dimensional materials such as finger joint wood blocks. Floors are strong enough for direct dumping, but breakdowns are rare because there are no gears, belts, chains or rollers. In fact, the floors require less overall maintenance, and are compatible with other types of conveying systems, while tending to be safer.
Hallco Live Floors can be purchased separately in "kit" form, or can be engineered as complete conveyor systems. Typical units are 8' wide by 50' long, though all systems are manufactured to the exact size and space requirements of an installation. Two-way variable speed allows for controlled loading and unloading.
Live Floors have been successfully installed in trailers, stationary bunkers and bins handling — but not limited to — such materials as chips & bark, sawdust, mill waste, hog fuel, tree trimmings, firewood, paper rolls, pallets, pulp & paper, dimensional lumber such as finger joint stock, mill refuse, lumber trims & shavings, and more.
